Game Recap Hill-Murray controlled another Classic Suburban game from start to finish, ending with a result that could have been more lopsided had it not been for the steady goaltending of Tom Horner and many shots that missed the net. Ryan Furne scored the go-ahead goal with 1:12 remaining in the first, taking Nick Larson's pass from behind the goal line and shooting it into the upper corner on the glove side from 15 feet. In the second period, Isaac Kohls fed Dan Sova coming down the slot, and Sova's shot went in high on the stick side for a 2-0 lead. North St. Paul took five penalties in the second period, giving Hill-Murray extended power play time and two 5-on-3s. The Pioneers didn't score until 23 seconds remained on the last penalty, when Dan Cecka tipped Bo Dolan's point shot. Horner had been excellent on low shots all night, but Tony Danna's blast squirted through his pads at 5:11 of the third. Danna ripped a shot from the top of the left circle after taking a cross-ice feed from Furne. Consecutive Hill-Murray penalties gave North a 5-on-3 of their own and their only good scoring opportunities of the game, but Dan McEnaney stopped Aaron Richert both times. After several failed shorthanded 2-on-1s, Cecka and Tyler Zepeda connected for the game's last goal, with Cecka getting his second after deking Horner and sliding in a backhand along the ice.
