Game Recap Hill-Murray took care of business with a 9-0 win to start the playoffs. Almost everyone found their way onto the stat sheet, as all four lines scored and fifteen players had goals or assists. Joe Phillippi and Dan McEnaney combined on the shutout, which was the team's fifth this season. Jake Lechner scored twice, including the go-ahead goal early in the first period on a mid-air tip of Jonathan Stadler's point shot. Lechner also redirected Nick Widing's second period shot to give Hill-Murray a 6-0 lead at the time. Ryan Furne was the only other Pioneer who scored twice, and finished the scoring with a monster slap shot from 45 feet. But the outcome had long been decided by that point. The entire third period was played on running time, although that didn't prevent Hill-Murray from racking up 47 shots for the game.
