2017-2018 Hill-Murray Hockey
- Hill-Murray went 10-11-4 in the regular season but won three straight for the first time in sections, including a major upset win over White Bear Lake in the final, the first time since 2013 those schools played a head-to-head playoff game. White Bear had their best season of the decade, going 20-3-2, although the regular season game against Hill-Murray was close.
- Hill-Murray dropped to third in the Metro East Conference and failed to win at least a share of the title for the first time since 2009.
- Eighth-grader Nick Pierre joined the varsity midway through the season and scored 10 goals, one more than Joey Anderson in 2013.
- State #1 Minnetonka needed a tying goal in the last seconds of regulation for an eventual 2OT win over Holy Family in the Section 2AA Final, then cruised through the tourney outscoring three opponents 17-7.
