2018-2019 Hill-Murray Hockey
- The 2019 Pioneers started strong, highlighted by a 6-2 win over St. Thomas Academy in December, but after January 1 scored more than four goals just once. That was in the last ever game against North St. Paul, who won only one game this season and formed a co-op with Minnehaha Academy next season. All time, the Polars won six games against the Pioneers, but three were playoff elimination games.
- Hill-Murray fended off upset bids with overtime victories in the first two playoff games, but lost the section final 3-2 as White Bear Lake made their first state tournament appearance since 2011.
- Mahtomedi continued their tradition of influencing the conference title race without actually winning it. Their 2-2 tie with Hill-Murray put the Pioneers a half game behind STA.
- This was the first year that Hill-Murray played a home-and-away series against Edina on consecutive nights. Each team won once, which was one of only two season losses for Edina, and like 2014, they didn't lose again. Edina defeated Eden Prairie three times by three or more goals in the regular season, but needed overtime to win the state championship game.
